My name is Alese Watson; corporate, family, event and lifestyle photographer, specialising in portrait photography since 2007.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing more than 5,000 busy, camera-shy people around the world. Whether it’s shooting a singular headshot in Sydney or a Cuban tobacconist in Havana, no one shoot is the same.
Fostered by my love of watching David Attenborough documentaries as a teenager, I now dedicate a portion of the year to travelling the world, photographing landscapes, their people and the living environment that reveals itself to quiet observers.
Africa is my continent of choice, where I’ve spent countless hours photographing the wildlife and documenting my travels. I don’t believe there is anywhere else on earth that you can feel so simultaneously insignificant and alive.
I had corporate photos taken by Alese, and she made the experience so relaxing, easy and fun. I usually hate having my photo taken, so Alese gave me some tips on how to move before the picture is taken to get the most natural looking results and I love them!
